There were a few in my near circle, who passed away due to breast cancer and another few survived because they dared enough to fight against it and trusted that God would give them the best. As this month is being highlighted as Breast Cancer Awareness month, let me bring a quote from a breast cancer survivor, into your attention.
I have to admit, like so many women, I always knew there was a chance. But like so many women, I never thought it would be me. I never thought I’d hear those devastating words: ‘You have breast cancer.’
~ Debbie Wasserman Schultz

For all who survived breast cancer would be better knowing the meaning of below line.
Whoever said winning isn’t everything, obviously wasn’t fighting breast cancer.

Nishana, How great we had the same idea! Your chosen quote is really good, Breast Cancer does not select, we can all have to face and fight it one day.
ReplyDeleteMay we always remember the ones who passed away and the ones who survived it, and take car of our health before it's too late.
Have a lovely day!

ReplyDeletehello Nishana..sis Marie is so right..all of us can have one so the best thing to do is to prevent it from having one..check-ups or even personal examination for lumps would be a great help ;)
ReplyDeleteI would like to share - My mother survived Breast Cancer, she has undergone treatment 6 years ago, and she goes for a yearly check up from last year, where she meets other people who are coming for thier 15th year's or 20th year's checkup!!!

Sorry to hear about your friends who have passed away. Thank goodness with the awareness that comes every October and all year round, they are making strides toward learning more to defeat it! Hope 2012 brings you much joy.
